Renault Scenic Voted Car of the Year 2024

The Scenic E-Tech Electric has been voted as the Car of the Year 2024. The announcement took place at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland on Monday, February 26th.

After the initial round of voting in November, the Scenic was selected as one of the seven finalists, competing alongside the BMW 5-series, BYD Seal, Kia EV9, Peugeot E-3008/3008, Toyota C-HR, and Volvo EX30.

The jury, consisting of 59 motoring journalists from 22 countries, awarded the Scenic with 329 points, making it the seventh Renault vehicle to receive the prestigious title of “The Car of the Year”. Previous winners include the Renault 16 (1966), Renault 9 (1982), Clio (1991), Scenic (1997), Megane (2003), and Clio (2006).

Fabrice Cambolive, CEO of Renault, expressed pride in winning this prestigious award. He emphasized the Scenic’s record-breaking range, spacious interior, and environmentally conscious design. Additionally, features like the Solarbay panoramic sunroof and the latest generation OpenR Link system contribute to the Scenic’s appeal in the European EV market.

As a full-electric vehicle developed on the medium AmpR platform (formerly CMF-EV), the Scenic E-Tech electric caters to customers seeking versatility. With zero emissions, agility, and a compact design, it excels on city roads. For longer journeys, the Scenic offers an impressive 379 miles of range (WLTP), ensuring comfort and driving pleasure.
